"You Let Me Down" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. It was released on September 24, 2021, through Def Jam Recordings, serving as the seventeenth track and the second promotional single from her third studio album, In The Meantime.
Background[]
Cara first wrote the song on her guitar in January 2020. In October of that year, she played it for Mike Wise, who co-produced the track with Hrag Sanbalian.[1] She teased the song in January 2021.[2] A music video was released on May 12, 2022, and remixes were released on September 23, 2022, to mark the first anniversary of In The Meantime and were also issued as a promotional single.
